In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Creepy.”
The Old Peach Tree has limped along for years now, defying the sinister Creep of nature.
She has witnessed many seasons and weathered heat, storms, and furious pests.
The wicked wind has split her trunk. Squirrels clash over her deformed fruit.
Manic deer have stripped her once bountiful boughs.
Weighed down by snow and ice in winter, heavy with fruit in spring.
Her gnarled branches continue to fight time, stretching arthritic limbs toward the sun.
Will she succumb to the Creep, or persevere and be Reborn?
