We had such a mild winter, the mustard and arugula I planted in the fall and left over winter survived. With the spring warm up having begun, the plants have bolted and flowered. And, best of all I can eat them!
This is a good thing, as with all of the sweets I’ve been consuming, I’ve been craving something healthy.
What do they taste like? The mustard flowers taste like young mustard greens.
The arugula tastes like bright, spicy arugula.
You can eat them just like salad greens. Use them as an edible garnish for soup, salads and sandwiches!
